Julie has been practicing physical therapy in the Montgomery/Bucks County region for over 20 years. She is an orthopedic and pelvic floor physical therapist and certified personal trainer and is passionate about helping women overcome the physical challenges that can occur in life, due to pregnancy, injury or surgery. She has completed extensive coursework via the Herman and Wallace Institute for the treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction, including Pelvic Floor Level 1, 2A, and 2B, and has attended a vast number of additional continuing education physical therapy courses throughout her career from progressing moms back to high impact fitness after baby to training the "geriathlete". She has earned a teacher certification for the Total Control Program™ via the Women's Health Foundation to help better bridge the gap between pelvic floor dysfunction in women and safe fitness options after pregnancy. Currently, she is enrolled in the Women’s Health Coaching certification program through the International Women’s Health Institute due to her passion to help empower women to consider and incorporate all elements of health into their wellness journey. She is excited to collaborate with other healthcare providers and share her services with women in our community who are looking for high quality and sustainable physical therapy and fitness outcomes. She lives in the area with her husband and three children and enjoys participating locally in 5K's and triathlons.
DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE FOR PHYSICAL THERAPY SERVICES?
We are an out of network provider. This means that, depending on the type of insurance you have, most patients can get reimbursements for their treatment. We will provide you with the appropriate receipts and treatment codes necessary to file your claim if you will be submitting to your insurance company. The amount of reimbursement is dependent upon your insurance plan. If you are unsure of your reimbursement arrangement, we recommend you call your insurance company to inquire, requesting reimbursement rates for “out of network physical therapy” expenses.
DO YOU NEED A PRESCRIPTION FROM A PHYSICIAN FOR PHYSICAL THERAPY?
We are a Direct Access Provider, therefore, you do NOT need a prescription from a doctor for up to 30 days after your first visit. If you require a referral for medical services based on your insurance plan, please check with your insurance company prior to your first physical therapy visit.
HOW OFTEN DO YOU SEE PHYSICAL THERAPY CLIENTS?
Physical therapy clients are, on average, treated 1x/week. Because we are an out of network facility, we are able to spend a full 60-90 minutes with our clients at each visit and provide the necessary education and exercises needed to progress with your program steadily at home. The duration of your care varies based on your present function and goals and will be discussed in the first 1-2 visits.
